Cedar Homeschool and Afterschool Enrichment Programs

Our Cedar programs are designed for children in grades k-2 (Rising Cedars) and 3-5 (Cedars). In these classes we carry on the ideas formed in the Saplings class with added complexity and critical thinking for rising minds. Together we more deeply dive into wilderness skills, foraging, gardening, fiber arts, nature arts and crafts, basic carpentry, music, and storytelling with integrative activities, projects, and lessons. We incorporate core curriculum learning as well as individual expression and self-directed learning into these projects in a way that helps us to understand how a multitude of subjects can be woven together to form a tapestry of purpose and meaning. We also explore communication and conflict resolution through mindfulness activities and games developed to bridge gaps, open doorways of connection, and foster healthy relationships with ourselves, our peers, our communities, and the planet as a whole.

Cedar Enrichment programs are 3 hours long. Island students will be picked up and dropped off at Beach Elementary. Mainland students will be escorted across the ferry at both pick up and drop off.

A 10% discount is applied for the second sibling.
