Our summer camps are full of activities and hands-on projects that help us to connect, utilize, enjoy, and learn from the gifts of Nature.​

Saplings
Ages 3-5/Potty-trained (Exceptions can be made for children with special needs. Please inquire for specifics)
Nature Play and Craft Camp
​In the Saplings nature camps, we will explore nature through open-ended play using natural materials, as well as engage with nature through activities designed to foster connection and appreciation including:

"The Trees and Me" tree identification, exploration, and activities

Music in Nature Camp
Dates:
7/8-7/11

In this program, campers will learn how to create and connect with music in nature through:

Exploring the tonality of various objects in nature

Exploring sounds and how the natural world uses sound to communicate

Crafting musical instruments from natural materials
-
Learning to recognize and mimic natural rhythms found in our environment

Combining the music of nature and contemporary music
-
Playing music and nature based movement/group building games

Earth Skills Camp

In this program, campers will learn to harness a deeper connection to nature with activities such as:

Learning the basics of shelter building

Learning basic plant identification for foraging food and wild medicines

Learning to make cordage/rope from plants

Learning the basics of tracking/foxwalk

Playing Nature movement/group building games

Nature Arts and Crafts Camp

In this program campers will learn to create stunning pieces of art using natural materials. Activities may include:

Learning to needle and wet felt with wool

Learning the basics of weaving and constructing a simple loom

Learning to make nature prints and paints

Learning to work with air dry clay

Wild Basketry and Weaving Workshop: July 22&23
Weaving is an art and skill that is as old as time. In this workshop, students will learn a variety of weaving techniques. They will gain basic understanding of plant fibers and how they can be processed and stored for weaving. We will be creating our own decorative woven jewelry as well as weaving a small pine needle basket to take home.
